Las Vegas Book Festival Promotes Literacy with Free Books

The 23rd annual Las Vegas Book Festival will be organized in downtown Las Vegas. The festival will offer a range of children's programming and free books to promote accessible reading.

Attendees can partake in various activities, including a storybook walk across Mount Olympus to explore Greek mythology, hands-on activities with Rainbow Company Youth Theatre, and engaging in a scavenger hunt, lawn games, and chalk art.

In addition, participants can create hand-made postcards or flip-book stories with Nevada Humanities. The festival, the largest literary event in Nevada, will feature readings by headliners John Waters, Tracy Wolff, and Nicola Yoon.

The event will take place at the Historic Fifth Street School. The Las Vegas Book Festival is open to all ages. It will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
